System Requirements
-
Open Ports:
noteYou may need to adjust the firewall settings on the VM and the corresponding cloud portal to ensure the ports are open.
- Ports 443 and 80 or 901 and 900 are free. The installer will try 443 and 80 first and if they are not available, it will use 901 and 900.
- Port 5773 must be open between the JAMS Web Client and JAMS Scheduler machines.
-
User Permissions:
- Administrator rights
- Administrator permission on the machine to read/write to the local machine certificate store
- At least the db_datawriter role or is a member of the JAMSApp role
- Inquire and Execute access to Configuration
- Manage access to Certificates
For installation, giving the user sysadmin or dbcreator and securityadmin rights on the SQL Instance where the JAMSBase Database will be created provides the necessary permissions. These permissions are needed only for installing the JAMS Web Client and you can remove them after the installation is complete.
- Ensure the latest version of the JAMS Scheduler and the JAMS Database are installed before you install the Web Client. The JAMS Database is required before you can install the JAMS Web Client. It does not need to be on the same machine as the Web Client, but the Web Client host must be able to access the JAMS Database.
- Ensure your system meets the System Requirements for the latest version of the JAMS Desktop Client/Scheduler.
The JAMS Web Client requires .NET 10. If it is not installed, the installer displays a message and will attempt to install it. If an internet connection is not available, you will need to manually download and install the correct .NET version. Go to the .NET 10 download site to download the correct version.
